I am very sorry for your frustrations. Windows 2000 is really old. It was released by Microsoft in 1999. Even Windows XP is just two years newer.
Also, there is no ICQ custumer support any more.
You can find an older version on the following links. They are directly from the ICQ servers, so don't worry.

Pruefe, ob dein Antiviren oder Firewallprogramm dieses Problem verursacht. ICQ schliesst sich eigentlich nicht von selbst.

Multiple frustrations w/ICQ!!!!  I can't download ICQ 6 since I am running Windows 2000 Professional (and no, I can't "upgrade" to XP for various reasons).  When I run ICQ2Go and I'm logged in (green flower for my status) I appear to the rest of the world as not logged in (everyone else sees me with a red flower!).  I find ICQ's website to have very little in the way of support options or places to get help.  Why can't ICQ still make older versions available to folks who are not running the most up-to-date operating systems?

Wenn diese Datei nicht existiert, wurde ICQ6 noch nicht gestartet. ICQ6 erstellt diese Datei beim Start.
Wenn sich ICQ nicht starten laesst, versuche eine Neuinstallation. Loesche Vorher das Verzeichnis ICQ in %appdata% (nicht ICQLite) sowie das ICQ6 Verzeichnis im Programme Verzeichnis.

Ich habe folgendes Problem hab mir vor kurzer Zeit erst das neue ICQ 6.0 runter geladen ich habe so weiter keine Probleme aber es schließt sich ab und zu einfach und ich muss es wieder neustarten..
Kann mir da jemand helfen wäre echt super!

ich hab das gleiche problem, und kann es auch nicht lösen.......leider!
Das mit dem "ausführen" geht auch nicht, weil die Datei "Application.......usw." nicht existiert.
Ich bin vollig verzweifelt, und weiß nicht was ich machen soll. :'-(

Kann man aber den Thread offen lassen, vielleicht findet sich einer bei dem das ausnahmsweise mal funktioniert hat, bin aber nicht weiter dran interresiert.  ;-)

Mich stört es übrigens auch nicht weiter, hab da eh eine andere Mailbox dran (an was es auch liegen könnte), halt nur das dieser Dienst früher mal ging..

ICQ wird  keine Updates fuer ICQ 5.1 und aelter sowie dessen Xtraz mehr veroeffentlichen. Du kannst hoffen, dass es nur ein temporaeres Problem mit dem Emaildienst ist, aber du wirst nichts dagegen machen koennen, dass es nicht mehr funktioniert, tut mir leid.

ich benutze ICQ 5.1 und habe ein ICQMail Account in Verbindung zu meiner UIN angelegt. Wenn ich jedoch in ICQ das Dashboard Xtra starte sehe ich folgende Fehlermeldung:

Ist es möglich, dass dieses Feature irgendwie nicht mehr zugänglich ist und ich deshalb diese Meldung bekomme und kann ich etwas dagegen unternehmen?
